Trunk
Muscles and bones
The trunk lies between the neck and the limbs and is divided into thorax, abdomen and pelvis.
The vertebral column, rib cage and pelvis form its skeletal frame. The thorax contains the lungs, heart and great vessels; the diaphragm separates it from the abdominopelvic cavity, which houses the digestive, urinary and reproductive organs.
