The skeleton of the trunk with the ligaments of the vertebral column, rib cage and pelvis.

The vertebral bodies are joined by intervertebral discs and by the anterior and posterior longitudinal ligaments, while the vertebral arches are connected by the ligamenta flava and the interspinous and supraspinous ligaments. The sacroiliac joints are reinforced by strong anterior, posterior and interosseous sacroiliac ligaments.
