Lower limb
Muscles and bones

The bones of the lower limb: hip bone, femur, patella, tibia, fibula and the bones of the foot.
The head of the femur articulates with the acetabulum at the hip joint, and its distal condyles articulate with the tibia and patella at the knee. The tibia bears most of the body weight, while the fibula provides muscle attachment and, together with the tibia, forms the ankle mortise for the talus.
