Head
Arteries and Veins

The venous drainage of the head, including the facial, retromandibular and jugular veins.
The facial vein drains the superficial face and communicates with the cavernous sinus through the ophthalmic veins. The retromandibular vein, formed by the superficial temporal and maxillary veins, joins the facial vein and the posterior auricular vein, draining into the internal and external jugular veins.
