Head
Veins

The arteries and veins of the head: branches of the external and internal carotid arteries and tributaries of the jugular veins.
The external carotid artery supplies the face, scalp and neck through branches such as the facial, maxillary and superficial temporal arteries, while the internal carotid artery enters the skull to supply the brain and orbit. Venous blood drains into the dural venous sinuses and the facial veins, and reaches the internal and external jugular veins.
