Muscles and bones

The bones of the hand: carpal bones, metacarpals and phalanges.
The eight carpal bones are arranged in a proximal row (scaphoid, lunate, triquetrum, pisiform) and a distal row (trapezium, trapezoid, capitate, hamate). Five metacarpals form the palm, and fourteen phalanges form the fingers, with two in the thumb and three in each of the other fingers.
